First and foremost I am a metalworker seeing the potential of texture and form in everyday things. This, together with shared narratives, influence the ideas and execution of my work.

Wabi-Sabi is the Japanese aesthetic that finds beauty in the understated, the rustic and imperfect, it accepts the impermanence of nature, the inevitability of decay, and the recognition of inherent beauty. I strive to achieve some of the same spirit in my practice.

Not all my work is shown on this website, a further selection is available for sale at the Rye Art Gallery, Rye, East Sussex and Paisley and Friends, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex.
